On Tuesday, Year 5 and Year 5/6 went on a visit to Blist’s Hill Victorian Town to help the children understand what it was like to live in this period. The rugby squad had a treat today. Christiaan Roets – Wales and North Wales Crusaders player came to school with Adam Daniels, a North Wales Crusaders coach. Head boy Sean Williams and Head girl Aaliyah Roberts help to launch the Summer Reading Challenge 2015 at Cefn Mawr Library. Year 5 & 6 help Councillor Hugh Jones and Duputy Minister for Culture,Sport and Tourism, Ken Skates, launch the Summer Reading Challenge.
Elections for 2015/16 committee are to be held in the last week of the summer term
We had a fun day out after our successful summer fair selling chocolate apples. We had a game of water polo and played with the floats at Chirk swimming pool. Then we visited Ty Mawr. Year 3 enjoyed a great day out at Chester Museum, learning more about the Romans. The children spent some time in the museum looking at artefacts.
